OUR MEDICEA QUARRY
The extraction of Pietra Medicea� takes place in the mountainous areas of Firenzuola in Alto Mugello. This is an ideal location where compact and homogeneous blocks are formed. Once selected, they are transformed into slabs and sent to our main headquarters in Puglia.
Our quarry enables us to meet any market demand, allowing Medicea stone to be exported worldwide. Known by architects and artisans internationally, this stone has been and continues to be one of the key materials used by the leading figures in the history of art and architecture.

The Extra Hard Pietra Medicea is of sedimentary origin, formed by the deposition and cementation of sandstone. This composition allows for a robust structure and remarkable resistance to weathering. Its deep gray color comes from the presence of mineral substances such as iron.
